Early access has been fantastic. I archive members-only workshops without reauthenticating or hunting for manifests.

You paid for a course, a workshop, or a membership, and the creator hosts all their videos on Open.video. Great player, beautiful interface, but no way to download the content. Your access could expire next month, your internet could be unreliable on the go, or you need to study offline. Open Video Downloader adds the missing save button. Visit any Open.video page, click the extension, and choose your quality. The video downloads as a clean MP4 file directly to your computer. It works with members-only content, private channels, and live event replays. As long as you can watch it in your browser, you can save it. Queue up an entire course and let it download while you do something else.

Saves the merged MP4 file to your downloads folder once the stream finishes processing.
Detects Open.video players on the page you are viewing so the downloader button appears only when needed.
Keeps the download in sync if you refresh the page or navigate to the next video in a playlist.
Extracts playlist manifests, rendition data, and signed URLs required to fetch the protected media segments.
If you can play the video in your browser while logged in, the downloader can capture it. We forward your existing session cookies instead of bypassing permissions you do not have.
Yes. The extension processes segmented HLS streams, keeps track of the current segment, and stitches everything into a single MP4 even for multi-hour recordings.
Keep the original tab open until the progress bar completes. You can switch to other tabs or apps—the downloader continues working in the background.
Queue multiple Open.video URLs inside the extension. Each item gets its own progress indicator and can be paused, resumed, or re-ordered.
The first release focuses on video and audio capture. Subtitle export is on the roadmap and will arrive in a future update.

We annotate Open.video content for support playbooks. The downloader keeps every rendition organized with filenames that match the source.

Captured a four-hour summit replay flawlessly. No desyncs, no CLI scripts—just one MP4 ready for edits.
