The series queue is exactly what I needed. I line up all episodes, hit start, and come back to a perfectly organized folder with subtitles included. No other tool handles hanime.tv this cleanly.

Hanime.tv is streaming-only, and episodes can be pulled from the library at any time. A series you are partway through can disappear without warning. Streaming also requires a solid internet connection every time, and subtitles are only available while the episode remains on the platform. Hanime Downloader puts you in control of your collection. Queue up an entire series, and the extension downloads every episode in order with subtitles included. Files are organized by series name and episode number so your library stays neat and browsable. If your connection drops mid-download, the extension picks up where it left off. All processing happens privately on your device. No cloud servers, no tracking, and no data leaves your machine. Watch your saved titles offline, on any device, whenever you want. Available for Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Opera on Windows, Mac, and Linux.

No. It only downloads videos you already have access to through your hanime.tv session. It respects authentication and does not bypass paid content gates.
Yes. Use the series queue to line up multiple episodes from the same title. The downloader processes them in order with automatic retries and preserves episode numbering in filenames.
When hanime.tv provides embedded subtitle tracks, they are saved alongside the video file so you can watch with captions offline in any standard media player.
Files are saved in the original stream container, either as direct MP4 downloads or converted from HLS segments. The output is always a standard MP4 file.
Downloaded files use episode numbering and title metadata in their filenames. You can also enable series-based subfolders to keep multi-episode archives sorted automatically.
No. All activity stays on your device. There are no analytics beacons, cloud uploads, or usage logs sent to external servers.
Automatic retry logic detects the interruption and resumes from the last successful checkpoint. You do not need to restart the episode from scratch.

Subtitle preservation was the dealbreaker for me. Other downloaders strip them out, but this one keeps caption tracks intact so I can watch offline with subs.

Completely local workflow with zero tracking. I verified with a network monitor and there are no outbound calls. Downloads are fast and the retry logic handles my flaky connection.
